Inspired by Belgian Art Deco antique from the 1930s, these tiered tables are updated to feel completely fresh and modern. The Art Deco style takes its name from the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts held in Paris in 1925. It appeared in Belgium immediately after the First World War when Victor Horta embarked on the design of the Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels in 1919. The symmetry and classical orders of Corso represent the return to a strict, classical style you see in Belgian Art Deco of the 30s. The designs and shapes no longer enjoyed the freedom of the 1900s; it was strictly supervised by its creators, and its design was inspired by the geometric aspects of cubism. Corso in its updated and modern form, is adorned with metal details on the bottom tier edges, and an ottoman with first-quality upholstery is added to the collection.
